It's nearly 3 weeks into 2024 I might as well start the 2024 dated coins found in circulation thread.

Please post your 2024 coins that you have found in circulation both standard and commemorative.

The rules are similar to previous years;

• Pictures of the coin are recommended.
• Coins issued in sets/NIFC definitives or commemorative do not count unless they were found in circulation.

I’m not sure why you have such a distaste for these 25 cent coins, but that is your opinion. I can say that your thinking is very one dimensional though as creating art work for the commemoration of these women and then putting it on a single color coin is a very long thought out and discussed process. In the years to come, these coins may be considered pioneers in utilizing different art forms for use on a coin. As someone said in another thread, if you don’t like them, leave them out of your collection. You don’t need to bash these coins every chance you get. There are plenty of people who like these designs and most are not Numista subscribers.

but the standard 25 cents does need a new design, but not just an old one

Wow! Spare a thought for us in New Zealand, our last circulating coins are dated 2020 and these came out as late as last July!

Glad the woke 2010s and politically correct/SJW/Keyboard warrior/snowflake/BLM/stay woke nonsense is on its WAY OUT and we enter the “Say what you want, do what you feel ” 2020s are here. The 2020s will be the decade of the backlash against the over wokification of society. Yes we accept the other,  does not mean we have to LIKE it.

Yeah I knew criticising the design of a coin that showed a Black woman, would be instantly read by the woke mafia as “He is criticising black women - we need to deal that raciss man out”.

Besides I read up about Dr. Pauli Murray and I have to say I admire them and their achievements. They is totally worthy of a coin, yet they deserved a much better design!

Agree! And it's not limited to this latest US series - so many ugly designs lately, especially the Euros.

I do envy you guys, did not had change yet this year let alone a 2024 issue if any.
in Shanghai if you show a bank note you can see the despair in the cashier’s eyes.

If your foreigner they’ll try to accept (sometimes running into the staff pockets or other shop to get the change) so if you’re in the rush forget about it. 
As for my wife who’s Chinese she had no choice to give up cash 5 years ago. Even if it’s illegal to refuse cash.

Palm check in trial apparently in some metro stations and facial recognition For shopping. Prac but sad.

I see people distinguish P & D here. So, here is my first P 2024 cent.

And 1 & 2 hryvnias 2024 started to appear in Ukraine in circulation as well.

This morning and afternoon I got these apparently uncirculated (ie. from just opened rolls) Austria 2 euro coins, as regula change from a minimarket in Florence, Italy.

As last year the first 2024 coin I found here in Fidenza (Italy) is the 2 Euro from Austria

Some shops get the rolls bank and I found these coins if I pay cash with a banknote hoping for the rest in coins received.

Got this on my trip to Turkey, this coin feels thinner and lighter than the previous circulation.

I found a 2024-P five-cent in my pocket change on Tuesday, along with these two old timers it was traveling with (a 1941 nickel and a 1954-S dime).

I went to the coffe shop on the highway, but at the cash register to pay I had a whole busload of German tourists.

How unfortunate, I said to myself, a quarter of an hour wait for a coffee!

I paid and the cashier gave me two 2 euro coins as change, definitely coins of the German tourists .

By a stroke of luck, indeed double stroke, the two coins were two 2 euro 2024 even different from each other!

Yes - I have a tub full of these small coins now. 

The shiny new 1 Grosz coins are still 2023, as are the new 1 and 5 Zloty coins, but I expect to see 2024 on more of the coins before too long!

Yes! Constant daily circulation. In shops you get your change to the nearest Grosz. 

However, when I got diesel lost time, I was two Groszy over the 300 Zloty when I stopped the pump, so I had a couple of 1 Groszy coins ready, but they did not charge me the 2 Groszy. filling stations will round up or down a Grosz or two :)

They certainly like their low denomination coin here!

There is also a good supply of new 200 Zloty notes being fed out through ATMs. And 500 Zloty notes are also readily available, though I haven’t actually tried to spend one, just got an example for my album.

You are right! The one and two cents no longer circulate in Italy since 2018, but the one pictured is Austrian!

I save euro coins mostly from Germany. We are over half way through the year and I only have three 2024 coins and no 2 euro coins. Are they not making them so much or not being circulated or I'm just to far out of the way?

I have no idea how I got a Mary Edwards Walker P Quarter over here. It can take years for people from the east to bring all their Philadelphia money over before I find any.

Probably far out of the way in an area that doesn’t have much demand for new coins to ordered from the mint.

I have no idea how I got a Mary Edwards Walker P Quarter over here. It can take years for people from the east to bring all their Philadelphia money over before I find any. 

Likely someone from the east coast received one as change from a brand new roll, then immediately traveled to your area and paid with it.

Finally, I found the first Czech coin dated 2024 in circulation (part of the change I got back in a café). Although already circulated, it seems that it has some flaws directly from the mint (like the blurred signature on the reverse), which I already observed on some other coins dated 2023 and 2024. Does anyone have the same experience?

In the pocket rest of the day's shopping, a 50 euro cent from the Vatican City jumps out at me, in itself a lucky event for us Italians. Looking at the coin, which is quite dirty on one side with a few green spots of oxidation, I can't believe my eyes: it's from 2024, despite the fact that it has only been in circulation for a few months, it's quite ruined. An unfortunate detail that makes the lucky event less fortunate.
