Hello,

I would like to propose a new field for coin, banknote, and exonumia sheets. I suggest it could be the second one in the features panel, but other places could work too (in links for example)

This would show:

  • the prototype for imitations
  • the circulation type for trial strikes, off-metal strikes, piedforts, patterns
  • the base type for countermark, counter stamp, or overprint types
  • the original type for counterfeits

Then all the imitations could be shown on the page of the prototype, and similar for trials, counterfeits, etc.:

I remember mentioning this in another post, but I can't find the discussion anymore; maybe it was in an unrelated thread. If it's a duplicate, please remove this one.

Thank you!

I like the linking, especially for countermarked coins. I realized a while ago that all the countermarked Tonga coins should specify the base coin.

But it isn't clear that one name on the base page is sufficient. Coin N#67949 is based on N#15392 but it isn't an imitation. And it would be possible for one base coin to have countermarked versions and also imitations.

I do not know if this is the same: a field to link coin with replica (and vice versa). For example:

Can be a new field similar to “References > Links”:

  • In page of a coin or a banknote, a multi line text input (textarea) “Links to replica” (a coin/banknote can have more than one replica).
  • In page of an item of exonumia, a text input “Link to coin” (if the item if type coin) or “Link to banknote” (if the item if type banknote) (a replica is of only one coin/banknote).
Wanted & swap list (euro coins & world coins, exonumia and banknotes circulated) https://goo.gl/AQjfKp - I have euro & world CC coins for swap.
